TWK Sept. 19--Frances Osborn Robb

Frances Osborn Robb, a historian and Alabama Humanities Foundation scholar, wrote a definitive history of photography in Alabama, titled Shot in Alabama, which she'll discuss at the September Tuesday with Kelly.

Her text follows photography from the first photo taken in the state in 1839 to 1941 when picture-taking had become commonplace. Shot in Alabama is an impressive and highly praised work that chronicles Alabama history. It will be an honor to hear Ms. Robb speak.
