While they admired the fine stitching and interesting techniques, they also enjoyed the wonderful stories of how the quilts had been made, some out of flour sacks, and passed down through the family. Also on display were some of the famous Gee's Bend quilts. Then during lunch, they visited with the renowned Dr. Arthur Bacon, scientist, poet, humanitarian, and prolific painter.
