The officers elected for 2021 will definitely have to be on their toes. VP Linda Lewis (in photo), assisted by Board Member Charlotte "Vanna" Whetstone, led the membership meeting in November, electing a new Board.
Belyn Richardson and Linda Lewis will remain in their positions as President and Vice President, as will Libby Christensen, Recording Secretary. New officers, however, are Erin Rogers, Treasurer, and Lynda Fain, Corresponding Secretary.
After many years on the Board, Kathy Willis is stepping down, as is Mit Fontaine. But Justin Edwards, Charlotte Whetstone, and Wayne Turner continue for another year. Also, Barbara Bennett, former Treasurer, and Carol Hickman, current curator, are continuing as Board members. We are adding Beth Coleman this year, too.
They all have their work cut out for them. We have a new building to renovate, will have to decide on a paid curator, already have plans for a summer art workshop for 4th graders, have an exhibit the first of the year, and lots of activities, such as a few parties and receptions, in between. It takes a village, and fortunately, we have one!
