Covid Halts Jasmine Hill Gardens display

"Halted for now, but not totally canceled," says Curator Carol Hickman. "We will definitely have a display at Jasmine Hill, but we don't yet know whether it'll be next year or later this summer or fall. We want to work with them because it is such a beautiful venue here in Elmore County, and their management is devoted to the arts.

"This is just one of the local places we plan to set up a pop-up art display. We hope to be in banks and other public locations several times a year, bringing art to meet the public. Not just for museums, art is meant to be seen, felt and shared by as many as possible, so we are going on the road this year. Of course, we'll have to wait until it's safe for the public to congregate."

"As soon as possible, all pop-up dates and places will be advertised on The Kelly's new monthly calendar along with our movie buff dates, Tuesdays with Kelly and other meetings," VP Linda Lewis points out. She collects the dates by the 15th of the preceding month to include on a calendar, which she sends out by Constant Contact to Kelly members. "I like to work on a schedule," she says, "and I know a lot of people need to put dates on a calendar, so this should be helpful."
