The Kelly is enormously grateful to friends at the Alabama Power Company for a generous grant to help with The Kelly facilities. As a small token of our gratitude, President Belyn Richardson gave them a 16"x20" photo on canvas titled "Alabama Power" donated by photographer Libby J. Christensen. It depicts electrical lines, shining in a sunset. "My eye caught those shining lines, which I normally ignore, and I couldn't help but think of the power of electricity flowing through," says Libby.
However, the Alabama Power Company is doing far more. Among the companies mentioned on television by President Trump, they are working with the White House to stem the bleeding by individuals during the coronavirus pandemic. They have announced a suspension of late fees and turn-offs during this difficult time.
The Kelly Board thanks them for their community involvement, here in Wetumpka, and throughout the state.
