Coming up soon on February 20 is Lust for Life with the recently passed Kirk Douglas playing a vividly colorful Van Gogh (7:30 p.m.). Tickets are $7 or $8 for most films.
Early next month, March 6, at 5:30 p.m., also at The Capri, is Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson, a young woman locked away in an asylum. Her great-niece finds her trunks and follows the mystery of her art and what happened to her (free admission).
Two days later, March 8, 3:00 p.m., The Capri is showing Lucien Freud: Self Portrait, a very celebrated painter of the 20th century, who portrayed himself in a multitude of self-portraits.
You certainly may attend these on your own, but if you'd like to meet a group to caravan from the Wetumpka Civic Center, call Cookie Knott (334) 531-6930 so that you won't get left behind.
