Handmade Clothing at The Kelly

Oh, no, they don't fit! Bri and Whitney, the beautiful daughters of Board Member/Social Event Chair Charlotte and Mabrey Whetstone's, are trying to model their dresses. Alas, they had outgrown the precious smocked sundress (hand-smocked by Charlotte) and French heirloom hand-sewn dress with lace collar (made by friend Elizabeth Prim Johns! But the dresses are on display, along with some fabulous handmade outfits on loan from Beth Bryson's Heirloom Sewing shop.

The Kelly has some award-winning baby clothes for sale from the Christensen Creations loans and some adult clothing using exciting sewing techniques and artistry. There are knitted caps and scarves for sale, too.

The Home and Hearth Exhibit continues only one more week. It has over 100 exquisite needlework, woven, and quilted pieces--a truly wonderful collection. If you haven't been yet, the doors are open 1-6 on Thursday and Friday and 12-5 on Sunday. After that, the display will be dismantled. So hurry!
