...however, I guess some things are worth waiting for. I can't wait to get my hammer on those new CUSTOM cabinets! What a treat that'll be in my new kitchen! Not that I want to bust the cabinets, mind you; I want to help get them in place.
The last I heard, the light tracks are up, the plumbing is ready for the final installation, and the appliances are waiting to scoot into their places. (Thanks to Lowe's and Russell-Do-It for some generous discounts!) Once the cabinets are installed, I'll help Pete Powers, the contractor, with the luxury vinyl tile floors.
Our wonderful designers picked out some very good-looking taupe flooring, almost looks like the wood floors of my younger days, but is probably easier to clean. We are also getting some "pleather"-covered benches. Hmm--that's like leather, I believe, but easier maintenance. I prefer to paint rather than "maintain," so that's good.
So close, yet so far away. I hate waiting, but it won't be long now. The Board is talking about a Grand Opening on May 21st if all goes as planned. (No tornadoes, please! ) I can't wait to move in, but when I do, you all will be welcome!
