As you can see by the sign graciously provided by Andrea Haynes, The Kelly will indeed have a new home soon...."new" as in recently acquired, but not so new in construction. This brick shop has been a mainstay at 124 Company Street for decades and was surely here in Kelly's days. Now The Kelly will be breathing new life into the structure. The deal with Pete Powers to buy the property includes renovation. It's now officially ours, for better or for worse, and seriously, it WILL be better.
The inside is basically a large rectangle, but additions will include a restroom and small kitchen. Adding flooring, walls, lighting, perhaps a new roof?, and a hanging system will, of course, be part of the plan. Keep watching for updates because they'll be coming fast and furiously. Thanks to Alabama Power Company, we were able to afford this without a mortgage. The Kelly Board is delighted, and we hope the members will be as well.
