Pre-Covid Party

In the nick of time before the Covid 19 shut-down, The Kelly was able to have a fantastic reception. Treated to soft music, catered food, and wine for ambiance, visitors to the NEW Kelly ambled along the downstairs buffet, studying the 17 -foot-high walls of art, and climbed to the room on the second floor to see the precious Kelly Fitzpatrick and friends art. Some enjoyed a breath of fresh air at the tables set up outside to eat, drink, and chat with friends.

Kelly Curator Carol Hickman explains, "It was a real community effort to get set up in time for our reception. We had help with boxing, trucks, ladders, and even a fire fighter (Treasurer Barbara Bennett's kind son) to help us do the hanging. Everyone pitched in, the sign was up, and it was just beautiful in time for the party!"

President Belyn Richardson was especially thrilled that the Wind Creek Casino donated, not only the food but also sent their own chef and assistants to cater the delectable hors d'oeuvres. "Everything went so smoothly, the food was delicious, and as far as I could see, everyone really enjoyed the evening."
