The Sylvia McConnell Art Scholarship was awarded this year to Andre Bordlee, a student graduating from Wetumpka High School. His family and friends joined together at the June Tuesday with Kelly as he accepted the $1000 scholarship. According to the Scholarship Chair, Phyllis Kennedy, "He is a very impressive young man," who plans to study creative communication at the University of Alabama.
