Still Lingering and Smiling

Updated: Jun 12, 2021

Lots of children are enjoying the free "Linger Longer" Kelly Art Activities during the First Thursday Open-Air Markets. The activities are created and led by former curator Carol Hickman and new curator Jennifer Eifert. With the help of The Kelly's AUM interns and other volunteers, they help the kids make fun art objects to take home.

April was space ships. May was fabric collage. June was paper quilts. More to come in July, August, September and October. The greater Wetumpka area is really treasuring the Alley on the bank of the Coosa behind Market Street, overlooking the Bibbs Graves bridge, where booths of food and crafts are set up for a wonderful walking market.

The Kelly is a non-profit community art center with a goal of reaching out to the community--all ages, all smiles!
