While not a complete change, The Kelly has a new slate of officers and board members to be voted on for 2021--definitely some morphing going on.
At the top of the board, our intrepid leader through the pandemic year, Belyn Richardson, has agreed to continue as President. Ditto for Linda Lewis as VP and Libby Christensen as Recording Secretary. However, here is where the changes begin. Ready?
Mit Fontaine is leaving after a couple years of service to attend to his bees and other interests. Treasurer Barbara Bennett is giving up money, but won't become a monk because she's moving to Mit's spot. Stepping up as Treasurer is the brave-hearted Erin Rogers. Meanwhile, Kathy Willis, who has been President and more recently, Corresponding Secretary/Membership Chair, is morphing into Lynda Fain.
Members Wayne Turner and Justin Edwards, our legal eagles, are fortunately not changing. Board member Carol Hickman already morphed from President to Curator last year and for the moment is making no change. Thank goodness our social leader and Chair of Special Events board member, Charlotte Whetstone is sticking with us. We are very happy to get one more new member, Beth Coleman. We seem to be gaining more than we're losing. If you agree, come vote. If you don't agree, run for office! The floor will be open to nominations during the Membership Party on November 5, Thursday.
