"We continue to look for a new home," explains Kelly President Carol HIckman; "in fact, we're seriously considered more than 20 properties and have negotiated a potential loan. Unfortunately, nothing has yet come together for us. A Board committee is still motivated to view possibilities. Please keep letting us know if something comes on the market."
The Board is actively at work. Linda Lewis, Board Director, is heading another committee to review and update all core documents, including the by-laws and policies/procedures. The idea is to be ready to develop a long-term plan as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Hope Brannon reminds all volunteers to please turn in to the board the number of their work hours and any in-kind service and contributions. These numbers become very important when we are applying for grants. We have many volunteers, but it is essential to track and enumerate them.
